“Well what a day yesterday was headed out with Smithy on his charter boat for a half day’s fishing the conditons were a little bumpy but as we got wider the swell got smaller and conditions eased. We sounded around some of Robs spot X’s and found some good patches of rubble and bait schools we set up for the first drift dropped the line into about 40mtrs and it was not long before the rod were bending some good size parrot,spangled emporer,spotted wrass(I think they were called) grassy emporer. Was a good mixed bag of reefies which were on the bite the whole time we were out. On the way out I was listening to a few of the other charter boats outside and they were saying they were quiet so I was hoping and praying we would get a feed which we did. The conditions were great we had a great operator in Smithy himself who gave us a great service for our dollar and had alot of fun in the process. I really do now understand that going out with a small group of blokes is definatly the go than going out with the bigger operators it is more of a personal affiair and nobody got in each others way. Lines always had bait on them and the fresh baits we were using were doing the trick on a great scale. As soon as you hit the bottom the bites came hard and fast. I just want to thank rob and South Queensland Fishing charters for an awsome day out great service and for putting a feed on the table. I have absoloutly no hesitation in recommending a day on his boat. Thanks Rob once again you run a pretty slick operation.
