With the action slowing up down south I decided to head north for a marlin charter based on a few recent reports. I had Dave out again along with Red and Tim who were keen to learn what to do. First drift we jigged some baits which was a good start and second drift we were hooked up. The fish were tiny and sub ten kilos but at least we had found them.
The boys all got to play one but some came unstuck as they were so tiny. With the action slowing I decided to go for a troll to show them what I do. We went and had a look at a few other likely looking spots but no joy so back to where we started where we marked them on the sounder once again. Here we got our third for the day just as the northerly was getting up.
