Peter and Stuart had booked this one ages ago for their holidays. We started off getting livies which came ok once again. Loaded up we headed wide to try and lose them. We stopped at another bait spot to try and grab a few more livie and to fish for a sailfish or a marlin. 2nd drift here we hooked and fought a little marlin. We got two lots of jumps out of him but then he spat the circle hook which is rare. With most boats only hooking one a day there we thought we had used up all our luck so kept going but we heard another couple ended up being caught for the day. At the first bottom fishing spot there was a good show but no joy so off we went again. Every drift we had some action at the second spot with either fish landed, fish busted off, the bottom being hooked or hooking sharks. During this session one of my Shimano T-Curve Jig 400 overheads broke fighting a shark, the first one hooked from this spot which is bad sign. So far it had avoided their unwanted attention. We also landed some good fish.
From here we rock hopped all the way home picking up some pearlies and parrot.
