We woke up to no wind blowing about 6am even though a big change was forecast so after a breakfast of bacon and eggs we loaded up the big Striper and headed off with five aboard. Scratch stayed at home to tidy up so his partner Anoushka headed off with the three of us. The bar was a non-event in the westerly so we headed where we wanted to fish. First or second drift and Kelvin hooked up big time. It was his week and he couldn’t go wrong. It ended up being a 5.9kg snapper and we thought it might be a daily prize. In the final wash up he missed out by 40grams but still got a rod and reel combo. We fished another mark once the wind came through where we pulled a couple more squire and pearl perch. In the final draw none of us got called out but I missed my chance the night we did the overnighter.
